Johnson & Johnson has persisted in their efforts to delay and scrutinize plaintiffs' representation by seeking extensive litigation finance discovery. Despite previous denials and the ongoing nature of this complex, multi-district litigation involving thousands of talcum powder plaintiffs, the Special Master ultimately denied these latest maneuvers, ruling that there was no basis to permit intrusive financial discovery into the plaintiff law firms' operations or question their motivations. This decision helps keep the litigation focused on the substantive claims of the plaintiffs, resisting continued attempts to sidetrack proceedings.
