In H.D. and N.B. v. Blume Goldfaden Berkowitz Donnelly Fried & Forte, P.C. Jeffrey Pollock, representing The Community Hospital Group, Inc., t/a JFK Medical Center, was involved in an appeal before the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division. The case concerned the use of a single-page document containing personal medical information (protected by HIPAA), which the defendants had inadvertently received. Ultimately an agreement was reached and judgement affirmed, in which there was a directive given for the sensitive document to be sent to JFK Medical Center, ensuring no improper use of the information and satisfying the plaintiffs' privacy concerns.
