Hale, New Jersey Supreme Court, No. A-7-10, it is announced that the New Jersey Supreme Court ruled that blogger Shellee Hale was not entitled to the same protections as a journalist under the New Jersey press shield law. Despite arguments from our firm that the court should consider Hale's intent to disseminate news publicly, the court rejected this assessment; a decision characterized as a sharp turn against nontraditional journalists and those writing on the web.
