In M.F. v. M.B., A-0905-13T3, the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division, affirmed a final restraining order (FRO) that had been entered against our client, M.B., under the Prevention of Domestic Violence Act of 1991. As the defendant-appellant, our client sought to overturn the trial court's finding that a specific incident constituted harassment warranting the FRO. Deferring to the trial court's assessment of witness credibility, consideration of broader context of prior conduct, and a past act of physical abuse, the appellate court ultimately affirmed the trial judge's decision.
